Orange County New Wave Club Debuts!

The idea for this blog was hatched over fish tacos after a Dave Wakeling (The [English] Beat & General Public) concert earlier this year at Fashion Island in Newport Beach.

The concept is that there should be a place for local Orange County area fans of New Wave.

You are encouraged to log on regularly for new information on upcoming concerts, tours, and releases. Comments are welcome!

I know some may have arguments as to what is New Wave. Regardless, here at the OC New Wave Club, there is a loose definition for New Wave that includes (but is not limited to) Punk, Synthpop, New Romantic, Ska, and even early forms of Hip Hop (like Electro Funk). Basically, the alternative music that could be heard on KROQ in the 8os.
